just got back from a wedding here and had a great stay.
The building and grounds are stunning and very Italian. Olive trees, vineyard and authentic architecture. The views are stunning as well and although was a bit too cold for a swim, the pool was big and beautiful.
The room I had was a little small but for one person or a couple it is all you need. bathroom was good, ample cupboard for clothing and I thought the bed was super comfortable. There is no lift which was fine as it is only two floors.
The food served there was great, breakfast was a solid spread of a variety of foods and dinners were yum. Staff were also great and spoke great English.
The location while looks remote, you can get to a small town with supermarket in 5 minutes, and there are a lot of towns on Lake Garda that are accessible by less than a 30 minute drive.
All in all was a great stay.

Stayed at Cariola as a prequel to our daughter's wedding.
Driving there, we were a little nervous as places are often not as good as the website pictures...we needn't have worried...Cariola is even better in the flesh. It has more space, more character and lots of little noks and crannies to chill out in. The pool is massive, as are the surrounding grounds.
It's a self-contained old Italian Palazzo-type building which lacks some of the modern efficiencies of a purpose-built hotel, it can be a bit noisy. But it has way more elegance and character for hosting any type of private event.

But what really made us comfortable was the attitude of the staff. Everyone we met was so happy and helpful (and spoke excellent English).
We were working with Laura, who is probably the most accommodating, helpful and delightful hotel employee we have ever met. She just made us feel at ease even though she was supervising an ongoing wedding.
Stayed in 116 which has amazing views over the hills.

Less than a year to go to the wedding so lots to do...

Wir haben im Oktober bei bestem Wetter in der Villa Cariola geheiratet. Wir hatten einen 4-tägigen Aufenthalt und schöner hätte es nicht sein können. Vor allem vor Ort hatten wir den Eindruck, das sich gern um alles gekümmert wird und alle Wünsche und Anliegen erfüllt werden. Besonders positiv möchten wir die Arbeit von Chiara und Eleonora am Empfang hervorheben. Wir hatten uns einige Hochzeitslocations in der Gegend Verona/Gardasee angeschaut und diese war mit großem Abstand die Beste!
Da wir aus Deutschland sind, war die Kommunikation aus der Ferne und über Fremdsprachengrenzen hinweg manchmal etwas langwierig und anstrengend. Wir sind sehr dankbar das sich sehr bemüht wurde auf unsere individuellen Wünsche einzugehen. Es gab viele Details zu klären, welche über die Entfernung viel Arbeit gemacht haben. Aber es hat sich gelohnt! Es war die perfekte Hochzeitsfeier.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und gut. Die Qualität war einwandfrei. Vielleicht wäre weniger süße und mehr regionale und herzhafte Speisen besser, aber das ist Geschmackssache.

Die Torte aus der Villa Cariola war ebenfalls perfekt!
Der Late-Snack, die Focaccia war nicht ganz das wir für den Preis erwartet hatten, etwas wenig Belag für unseren Geschmack.
Der Pool-Bereich ist perfekt und sicher für Kinder.
Die Zimmer sind größtenteils neu renoviert und haben einen guten qualitativen Standart gepaart mit historischem Ambiente.
Über die Zimmer-Preise kann man geteilter Meinung sein, es kommt sicher etwas darauf an wann, wo und für welchen Anlass man und welches Zimmer man bucht.
Das Abendessen im Restaurant, der Service und die Getränkeauswahl war sehr gut, die Preise waren angemessen und es hat unsere Gäste begeistert.
An einem Tag war eine Auto-Ralley in der Gegend und die Strasse vor dem Hotel war gesperrt, es war für uns sehr unangenehm davon nur wenige Tage vor der Anreise zu erfahren, da wir eine Ausflug mit den Gästen geplant hatten. Leider war es dem Hotel nicht möglich früher Bescheid zu geben, so, das wir irgendwie hätten umplanen oder eine andere Lösung finden können. Schade, so mussten wir einen halben Tag ausserhalb des Hotels verschwenden, da die Einfahrt gesperrt war.
Wir können die Villa für Hochzeiten oder andere Feiern oder einfach romantische Urlaube mit und ohne Kinder sehr empfehlen! Es ist in der Gegend einfach die beste Location dafür.
Wir kommen definitiv wieder um in Erinnerungen zu schwelgen und die Ruhe und den Ausblick zu genießen.
