Danaea and Silas were amazing! We were only planning to do an engagement photo shoot with them a couple years back, since our wedding was suppose to be a destination wedding. However, we have to cancel that plan in a last minute and do an elopement in Vancouver instead. Left with only a couple weeks to plan, with no vendors or plan. Since we were so happy with our engagement photos, it was a no brainer for us to go with them again as our wedding photographer. They were very accommodating, from helping us with the timeline to the location recommendation. Our wedding photos looked amazing; they were able to capture all the important moments during the day. They are truly the complete package; highly recommend them for your engagement to the wedding day!
The Godards are truly wonderful people - both in their craft as photographers but as well as getting to know the couples! They made us feel so comfortable and confident during our engagement shoot and moreso on our wedding day. You can see their quality of work, attention to detail, and care in every photo. We love looking back at our wedding album because we’re reminded of one of our best days ever and the amazing experience we had with both Danaea and Silas!
Being a wedding coordinator in the industry, I knew the importance the right vendors would make on the big day. So when it came to photography, something that both me and my husband valued high on our list, I HAD to suggest my faves the Godards, and luckily he felt the same way.
Having worked with them before, I was able to experience their professionalism, care for couples, easy-going attitudes, and amazing talent firsthand. The galleries that they would produce were beautiful, timeless, and captured the essence of the weddings in a way that felt natural and real. So when it came to our engagement shoot and wedding, I was once again in awe of the way that they put us both at ease and captured who we are as a couple.
We are so grateful to have such beautiful photos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Danaea and Silas, for being a part of this milestone season of our life together and we couldn’t imagine sharing the experience with any other photographers. We knew from day one that the Godards was the best choice we made for our wedding day. We both admired their work, their ability to capture moments so beautifully, and their skills to play with lighting is so magical. We are definitely the awkward type in front of the camera and the pictures turned out so beautifully that it didn’t look like that under their lens. Working with Danaea and Silas was a great experience. We spent a lot of time researching photographers for our wedding but what stood out about them was their ability to capture the emotions of the day in a beautiful, authentic, and artistic manner – and that's exactly what they did.
They are an amazing, calm presence to have on your wedding day and heck, if it starts pouring rain in the middle of your ceremony, they'll even be the first ones to get you an umbrella!

We are so happy to have had Danaea + Silas photograph our engagement session and wedding. They are simply wonderful human beings who took the time to learn about us as a couple and made sure the photographs matched exactly what we were looking for. Every photo was incredible and working with them was so fun and enjoyable. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!
Honestly, what is there to even say? I'd be lying if I said I didn't stay awake until 2:45am on a "school night" going through our wedding photos, and opening them every chance I've gotten since.
We seriously cannot thank the Godards enough for capturing our special day - and engagement - so beautifully. Their work speaks for itself, just one look through their galleries and you'll be laughing, crying, and deeply feeling every emotion of each person there, in every photo they take.
But, what is perhaps even more magical, is how they make everyone in their presence feel. Silas and Danaea are kind, gentle souls who exude warmth and keep you laughing the whole way through. By some miracle (their exceptional talent), they can make people who usually squirm at the thought of a camera feel relaxed, comfortable, and most importantly, like themselves. They quickly became part of the wedding party, friendship circle, and family, and we are equally thrilled to have been able to spend our big day alongside them as we are to have a lifetime to look back on their incredible work.
In my husband's more succinct review: "would get married again just to have them take the photos."

Wow, where to start with The Godards?! I researched photographers for MONTHS before booking, as photographers are the most important vendor. The Godards stuck out to me and we really enjoyed their energy when we met them (we also loved the fact that the were a married couple). They were professional, quick to reply, and easy to work with. We had no idea where to go for our engagement shoot and they gave us a great location and it was STUNNING. We had a great time with them during the engagement shoot and I absolutely fell in love with the photos. I think the best word to describe them is CALM. They were such a lovely presence at the wedding. They were a perfect mix of telling us exactly what to do, as well as being a fly on the wall and letting us enjoy every moment. I have had my photos for weeks and still look through them almost every day. They are perfect in every way.
We hired the Godards because we wanted the best possible photographers available. Not only were they professional and incredibly hard working but they are also lovely and wonderful human beings. The photos are spectacular and will last a lifetime. This was the smartest investment in the whole wedding.
Where do I even begin!! The Godards were recommended to us by a friend, and we will forever be grateful for that... We did a lot of research and meetings before choosing a photographer for our wedding and engagement shoot. Within minutes of meeting The Godards we knew they were the ones! They immediately put us at ease...

I hardly need to comment on their incredible talent as photographers, because their photos do that for them... They captured our love, personalities, and sense of fun perfectly.We still cry looking at our photos.
On our wedding day, we felt like we were hanging out with friends, and that shows in our photos. They also captured our loved ones as we see them through our eyes.. So many of our guests have said 'this is my favorite picture of myself!!'.
I could go on and on... We will forever be grateful for the gift that the Godards have given us - and we can't wait for our next photoshoot!! <3
