I was very happy with how my engagement photos and wedding photos turned out. Mattie is a very talented photographer and was a pleasure to deal with. We coordinated everything with her from out of province and she made everything a smooth process. Would definetly recommended her!
We were thrilled with the results from our photoshoot with mattie on our registration of marriage. She outperformed our high expectations and we will gladly use her again for future events.
We didn't have much time beforehand, but we really loved the aesthetic in her portfolio and were lucky enough to secure her time at relatively short notice. She listened and understood our vision, was very responsive and helped decide shooting locations.
On the day of our registration, Mattie was very efficient with capturing our group photos with friends and family - she gave clear direction and even our dads (who usually have little patience for photos) commented on how much they enjoyed shooting with her! We ourselves felt comfortable and at ease when Mattie was shooting just us two.
The photos were delivered within the promised time frame and they are beautiful! We will cherish them forever. Thank you Mattie!

Mattie shot our engagement shoot, our tea ceremony, and our wedding day and wow, she is a phenomenal photographer! Her photos are so timeless, ethereal, and beautiful. She is so good at directing couples on how to pose and feel natural in front of a camera. Mattie excels at portraits! Her creative eye is very impressive.
Aside from the couple shots, Mattie and her second shooter was great at capturing all the big and small moments of the day. She was very efficient at taking photos with family/friends so we were able to actually enjoy cocktail hour and reception with our guests, which is a huge plus for us.

Mattie was our wedding photographer in May 2022 and we couldn't be happier with the results and the entire experience of working with her. She was an absolutely pleasure to work with from beginning to end. During the planning process, she was responsive and accommodating to the questions we had, especially as this was in late 2021 when COVID restrictions were still impacting the events in our city. Mattie was also very flexible with sharing albums of previous weddings she had worked on, particularly those at the same venue as ours. We worked on planning a schedule together for the day as we wanted to photos around other parts of Vancouver before heading to our venue - Mattie was super helpful with suggesting locations and offering advice on logistics and timing.
On our wedding day, Mattie and her assistant Norman were fantastic to work with during the whole event, including agreeing to stay an extra hour and a half as our schedule had shifted during the evening. Their friendly, helpful and humorous presence helped alleviate a lot of the stress we felt earlier in the day. We held a Tea Ceremony in the morning and Mattie was instrumental in helping direct (as we were inexperienced with what to do) it as well as capture it. She made sure to capture all the shots I had wanted of our venue and was great in giving instructions about how to pose for the shots.
We received some sneak peeks after about a week, and received the full album after just 2.5 months, which is very fast in the wedding industry. The photos look amazing and we could not be happier with them, she captured all elements of our day and there is a wonderful mix of stylized and artistic poses as well as truly candid moments from our reception. What I particularly love is the photos are not over filtered and the colours truly reflected all the beautiful colours of our day.
We are so grateful to have worked with Mattie for our special day and highly recommend her for anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

We have worked with so many photographers, Mattie is extremely professional, personal, organized and her photography skill is amazing! I always wanted fine art photography for my wedding, when I first came across Mattie's work, I was in love. I had the pleasure to have Mattie as my photographer for my wedding in Toronto in June 2022. Mattie is very talented and patient, my husband and I were very comfortable in front of her lens. I am incredibly happy with her work, the photos she took were timeless and she has captured all the beautiful moments of the wedding. Looking through the album every time feels like I'm reliving the happiest day of my life. In addition, my wedding was postponed for almost two years due to covid, Mattie has been very accommodating and communicative with all my changes.
