Kanny Films was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. As a bride living in the States and planning everything from a distance, I was definitely nervous about finding vendors I could trust. Kanny Films was one of the first vendors we came across, and I immediately fell in love with their documentary-style filming.

I still remember watching one of their YouTube Shorts where a bride was saying goodbye to her grandmother. It was such a small, delicate moment, but the way they captured it had so much emotion behind it that I started tearing up even though I didn’t even know them. That was the moment I knew this was the team I wanted to capture our wedding.

Wedding videos were really important to me because they are something you can keep forever and pass down through generations. I wanted ours to feel sentimental and emotional, but also fun and true to us. I wanted to look back years from now and not only remember what everything looked like, but how the day actually felt. We booked them almost two years in advance, and from the very beginning they were so easy to work with. Communication was always clear, and they were very understanding of our schedule, the time difference, and the fact that we were planning from the States. They gave us so many helpful resources throughout the planning process and made everything feel a lot less stressful.

They also had so many great ideas of their own, which we really appreciated. At the same time, they were always open to anything we wanted to change or add. We never felt like we had to follow a certain formula. They listened to what we wanted, understood our vision, gave us their input when we needed it, and were very flexible throughout the whole process.

They even helped us with recommendations for photoshoot locations based on the look and feel we were going for. Little things like that really showed us that they cared about the overall experience and not just showing up on the wedding day to film.

On the actual wedding day, they were amazing to have around. They were professional, kind, patient, and just genuinely good people. They made us feel comfortable and never made anything feel forced. Our families had so many good things to say about them too, which says a lot because everyone noticed how easy they were to work with.

And then we saw our next-day edit… we could not stop watching it.

They captured so many moments that we didn’t even get to see ourselves. A wedding day goes by so fast, and there is so much happening around you that you miss without even realizing it. Watching the video back, we got to see our family’s reactions, little moments between people, emotions in the background, and so many details that we would have never known happened.

That is probably what I love most about Kanny Films. They are so good at capturing the little moments that end up meaning the most. They really capture people as they are, and somehow bring out so much emotion through the way they tell the story.

Our next-day edit felt like us. It was emotional, fun, sentimental, and brought us right back to the wedding day. We watched it over and over again, and every time we noticed something new.

We first came across Karan and the team on Instagram. We were looking for a videographer that was going to create more of a documentary of our wedding opposed to the standard Bollywood music video style.
