3 years A luxurious and elegant Private Estate, situated approximately 3 km from the centre of Florence and Piazzale Michelangelo whilst being surrounded by Tuscan hills. Villa Merlo Nero, rented with exclusivity, offers the perfect atmosphere for a special dinner or a wedding celebration, with the elegant Red Banquet Lounge, immersed in art and history, the handcrafted Chinese Room which creates a romantic backdrop for unique photos and memories, and the Piano Lounge, with its antique and artistic furnishings which offers a space for the ceremony, in case of rain. The Park surrounding the villa, offers different areas for symbolic ceremonies such as Giardino Fortuny, a very spacious lawn area with Tuscan steps which seem to be the favourite spot among our couples. A more intimate ceremony can be arranged under the Olive trees next to the swimming pool. Events up to 60 guests for Plan B or up to 80 guests if a Marquee is hired. Private swimmingpool, outdoor kitchen, Aircon in all 13 bedrooms.

If you're looking for the perfect venue for your wedding, look no further than Villa Merlo Nero in Tuscany! I booked this enchanting villa sight unseen for my wedding in September, and I can honestly say that "magical" is an understatement.
From the moment we arrived, I was blown away by the breathtaking beauty of the villa. The glow from the hanging lights intertwined with the lush green garden created a truly dreamy atmosphere. It was like stepping into a fairytale!
The accommodations were equally impressive. The rooms, featuring stunning canopy beds and spacious wardrobes, provided the perfect sanctuary for our stay. I’ve never slept so comfortably!
I want to give a special shoutout to Ginevra and Guiditta, who were absolute lifesavers throughout the planning process. I didn’t hire a wedding planner, but their support and expertise were invaluable. They guided me every step of the way, connecting me with the best vendors and ensuring everything went smoothly. I couldn’t have done it without them!
One of the highlights was the private chef they recommended, Patrizia, who was incredibly sweet and taught our group of 20 how to make pasta one night. It was such a fun and memorable experience that brought everyone together!
The villa's historic charm, cleanliness, and proximity to Florence made it an ideal location for our celebration. It’s only a fifteen-minute car ride to the center of Florence and within walking distance to charming cafes and restaurants, making it easy for our guests to explore the area.
And P.S. the shower view from the bridal suite was my absolute favorite! With the big windows open, the breeze flowing in, and a stunning view of the garden while enjoying a glass of vino— I could have stayed in there the whole time!!
I find myself feeling a little sad to go. This place has truly captured my heart. Villa Merlo Nero was a dream come true, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I’ll definitely be back for our anniversary in the future!
P.S. The procedures are much like AirBNB. Don't arrive before the person responsible for securing the Villa. Also, if coming with a large group 4 or more rent a vehicle to go to city center. About a 2 mile walk. Their shuttles needs to be prearranged. Taxis may or may not arrive and Uber maybe the same.
