I don’t have enough good things to say about Karlien! She helped capture my surprise engagement with my fiancé during a sun rise walk in the beach. First off, the photos are spectacular! They look like Vogue art hanging on our wall. Secondly, she spent so much time helping me plan the specific details of things I had not even considered, like location, lighting, privacy and so much more. She is kind and professional. I would love to work with her again and would recommend her to anyone. 100/10.

Karlien is not just a photographer. She is a complete visionary artist. Fr om beginning to the end of my wedding planning she made sure every aspect of our photo capsule was unique to us. There was no pressure on traditional shots and feeling like we needed to do certain things. The vibe was fun 100 percent of the time. Thats why our photos came out so beautiful—they were truly a moment in time. So genuine and detailed. To this day people ask me who did our photos and most importantly, we were able to enjoy our wedding and cocktail hour and not be stuck taking photos the whole time. She met us wh ere we were and blended in with the crowd and captured true happiness. I cannot say enough good things about her. Book, book, book!

My fiancé and I had our photo shoot in Cancun with Karlien and she was nothing short of perfect. She was very detail oriented and professional, not to mention patient with us from beginning to end. She worked with us to get the shots that we wanted while also recommending certain poses and backgrounds to capture the beauty of the location. The pictures came out great and delivery of pictures was very fast (2 days). Highly recommend her services and we will definitely be going with her in the future.

I grew up on a farm in South Africa where nature and adventure is part of your DNA. I got my first film camera in college when I left home to study photography and it was love at first sight. After my studies I set off to travel the world which lasted for half a decade where I was introduced to different cultures and people that helped me broadened my mind and vision, helping me grow as an artist and as a human being. Mexico kind of fell into my lap and after 10 years of living here I’ve been incredibly lucky to have captured love stories from all walks of life. I am very easy going and I let things flow organically therefore my style is very natural and documentary. My number one goal is to document your day in an authentic, artistic and beautiful way that when you look back on it you will remember exactly how it felt. I believe a wedding is very intimate and it is important that we are all there in the moment celebrating love and having fun. I find most of my inspiration through nature, traveling and hiking. I LOVE hiking mountains, volcanoes, chasing the light and admiring the view. If I am not behind my camera I am happiest being at home with the cats, working in the garden or sitting around a fire, under the stars and enjoying a glass of red wine.
