Matthew, Bertie and the team were professional, innovative with tons of fantastic ideas and incredible attention to detail, and well organised throughout all stages of the planning.

Throughout the whole process Matthew and team really took time to understand everything we wanted and delivered a wedding which way surpassed our expectations or what we ever thought possible.
It really felt as if our wedding was being planned by old friends who had known us for years and really understood everything we wanted down to every intricate detail. They made every stage of the planning enjoyable throughout and always provided such incredible ideas we would have never considered without them.

I just cannot recommend highly enough. If you're looking for a truly individual and epic wedding to be the best day of your life (cliche as it sounds but absolutely true!) - these are the guys to go to!

We can’t say enough amazing things about Georgia and Matthew Oliver weddings. We had Georgia as our wedding planner for a little over a year and she made the magical day even better than we imagined!!!! We had a destination wedding in Ireland and with our busy lives and schedules she made everything so much easier for us. We told what we loved and what we didn’t love and made our day magical. Georgia and the entire team at Matthew Oliver were perfect for our day!

The strength of the Matthew Oliver team is their relationships, which when it comes to weddings, is one of the most important qualities for a wedding planner. Because of their close ties with everyone in the industry, we were able to pull off an incredible destination wedding with ease and in budget. They were extremely resourceful when it came to all of our wild requests— they found a way each time to execute our vision. Lastly, what you find is that you spend most of your time with your wedding planners and vendors during the wedding and planning process. You definitely want to like these people during such an important moment. We are lucky to still call Matthew, Bertie and team our friends and they will definitely be in our lives forever!

What does any bride want on her wedding day? To feel utterly relaxed, not have to lift a finger  and feel like the luckiest girl in the world. That's exactly what matthew Oliver and his team enabled me to do.  The wedding was beyond my wildest imagination. Communication was a breeze,  creativity was at its finest,  and attention to detail spot on. Considering we had a two day event from morning to night,  it felt seamless. All my guests were so happy and to this day, nearly two years on, kindly say we had the

My wife and I didn’t quite know what we were looking for when we started interviewing wedding planners but it was clear when we spoke to Matthew he was exactly who we were looking for. I’m originally from the UK and met my wife in the US. We were planning our wedding in the UK, which is an atypical venue for Matthew as it’s home soil but in many ways he was still planning an international wedding as we’re based in NYC and did 90% of our planning virtually over zoom during the pandemic.  Matthew and his team were excellent from start to finish - a few reasons why:
1. Communication - Matthew was always available for us and would take a call or facetime whenever we needed. Also, one of his amazing team members was always clued in to what was going on and could assist whenever matthew couldn’t (which was rare). Matthew was also always clear on what was and what wasn’t possible, which is important when planning a wedding. Most importantly though, Matthew truly listens to you rather than try to sway you toward their own personal preferences. I really admired this when working with him.
2. Process Management - Matthew & his team kept an up to date google doc that tracked everything incredibly well. This tracked vendors we liked / didn’t like, vendors we hired and the process forward with them and most importantly the budget tracking of what invoices were paid vs outstanding. His team really kept this up to date and followed up with us on things to make sure everything was managed properly. This was invaluable. I’ve heard nightmare stories about this management from other friends with planners so i cannot stress enough how thankful we are for this.
3. Connections - Matthew knows everyone and everything. He and his team’s insight into which vendors are actually great to work with vs ones that look good but fall short of expectations was incredibly helpful. He also worked tirelessly to get us the best deals with every vendor we worked with.
4. The Details - Matthew & his team are obsessed with the details which worked well because so is my wife. Matthew & team made sure every minute detail was accounted for. When it all came together the end product was everything we had imagined and more. Also, if we ever got worried about needing to cut back on something for the budget, Matthew was really helpful in guiding us on what could be cut without sacrificing our vision.
5. Bringing the Vibes - I don’t think it’s possible for Matthew to allow a wedding to have bad vibes. From start to finish he ensured not only we had the best time but so did our guests. All of his energy culminated in every single one of our guests including the oldies i never expected to see on the dance floor dancing the night away for hours.

In summary, just hire Matthew Oliver. You won’t be disappointed!

Faced with the challenge of two humans with lots of (differing) opinions, no clue about what they wanted from a wedding (other that for it to ‘feel’ amazing), Bertie swooped in and made the dream the most incredible reality. All whilst navigating wild, sometimes crazy suggestions and constantly changing time zones. We could not have loved working with Bertie more and could not be more grateful for all of his hard work: he seamlessly, flawlessly and spectacularly orchestrated a three day celebration that beautifully embodied our love and everything and everyone we love. I can only hope that Bertie (and the rest of the Matthew Oliver team), remain features in our lives: not as wedding planners, but friends to enjoy this wild adventure called life.

Matthew and Bertie are the pinnacle of Wedding Planners. My wife and I decided on doing a Bahamian wedding in Green Turtle Cay. The thing about Green Turtle Cay: it’s only 3 miles long and 0.5 miles wide. Doing a wedding there requires plenty of planning and resources from other outside the island. Not to mention, we requested for 4 days of events. Matthew and Bertie took this challenge head on. The end result: Absolute Masterpiece!! They made the process fun, as little stress as possible, and always had everything under control. I can not express how much my wife and I appreciate everything they did. Our friends and family still talk about the wedding a year later. Saying it was one of the most beautiful weddings they have ever been to. Can’t say enough fantastic things about Matthew and Bertie.

Where to start? I reached out to Matthew Oliver Weddings in 2022 looking for an international planner for a destination wedding. They were very quick to respond and very transparent with expectations and pricing.

From there they connected me with Georgia Haldenby, one of their planners. Georgia was spectacular. She took an impossible dream and made it larger than life. She gave us the room to have the ideas we never thought to be realistic and she delivered in every way. From a simple brief to a fairytale wedding, she and the team at Matthew Oliver were the single best investment for our dream wedding to come true. Not a single detail would I have changed. They're organized, communicative, and always put you and your vision first. They made us feel special and cared for during the entire process. At no moment did we feel as though we were a burden or asking too much.

We were lucky enough to work with Matthew Oliver Weddings over 2023-2024 to realize our dream wedding at Château du Grand-Lucé this past June. Saying that our event was everything we could have imagined does not even begin to do justice, as the weekend exceeded all expectations for us and our guests.

As a couple from the US + Canada we knew that undertaking an intentional wedding can come with great difficulty with respect to tracking down vendors, communication, bookings, etc. Hiring on Bertie at Matthew Oliver with the help of Danny as well as Matthew, Jade, and the entire team, was the best decision we could have ever made. Our venue could not have been more thrilled when they found out that we were using Matthew Oliver Weddings – not only due to their vast expertise and experience working on the grounds, but also by how much they enjoyed working with their entire team. Matthew Oliver’s reputation as a great company couldn’t have excited us more for the entire planning process.

Bertie helped us so seamlessly find vendors, manage invoices, streamline connections, and communicate with the venue and management. We truly could not have done it without his unwavering help, support, and infinite email replies. Not to mention, as a perfectionist, alongside a family of designers, we had set very high expectations for deliverables throughout the entire process. Bertie consistently remained calm, eager, and helpful throughout the entire process – helping us find our way to the best solution with no ask too large. When the four day weekend commenced, we were blown away by how attentive, helpful, and kind the entire Matthew Oliver team was in realizing our dream wedding. Not only did they have a personal hand in the entire set-up process to make sure everything went along to our liking, but they also did so the entire time with a smile on their face, bringing the most positive and calm outlook and vibe to the weekend. The team consistently brought forward such great ideas and opinions, we truly valued their expertise every step of the way. Bertie, Danny, and the entire team became an extension of our family for the weekend, and we feel beyond blessed to have gotten to know such a wonderful team of planners and friends.

If you are debating doing a large wedding, international celebration, or hiring on a planner to help - I can confidently say that given the option, I would do the entire process over again in a heartbeat and not change one single thing. Our weekend was more than perfect and the help of Matthew Oliver in realizing our dream was priceless. It truly is a surreal moment to witness all of your loved ones together in one place having so much fun. We still receive texts about how much fun our guests had, and none of it would have been possible without the amazing teamwork that brought the entire weekend together.
