Our experience with Francesco Fornaini Photography was exceptional from start to finish. Their communication and hospitality stood out immediately; from our initial inquiry to the final delivery of our photos, their responsiveness and attentiveness were remarkable. They took the time to understand our vision for the wedding, ensuring that every detail was covered. On our wedding day, their warm and friendly demeanor put us at ease, allowing us to be ourselves in front of the camera.

My husband and I were incredibly fortunate to have Francesco and Egla photograph our elopement. Every part of the process, before, during and after the shoot itself, surpassed our expectations. Working with them was truly the best experience we could have ever wished for.

Leading up to the day, Egla was incredibly communicative, making sure she fully understood our vision. She put great effort into researching the venue, weather, and lighting, which made us feel confident and at ease. We wanted something quite different fr om a typical elopement shoot, and she immediately grasped our vision, offering plenty of creative ideas. Even before the day arrived, we knew we had made the right choice and felt relaxed and excited, with one less thing to worry about.

On the day itself, Francesco and Egla were more like friends than photographers, helping with setup and creating a relaxed atmosphere. They captured every moment perfectly without ever being intrusive and guided us through the shoot so that we never felt awkward or uncomfortable in front of the camera. Even after the ceremony, they took us to various locations to capture some more special photographs. Despite our location being far from wh ere they are based, they put absolutely no pressure on us at all regarding the time. We could tell they really wanted to make sure they got all of the perfect photographs, even if it took a while longer.

Of course, the photos themselves are the most important part of all of this, and they are absolutely stunning. We already knew they would be as even the previews on Francesco's camera were incredible but when we received the final photographs, they took our breath away. Everyone we have shared the photos with has remarked that the photographs are absolutely incredible and that we must have had a very special photographer. By choosing Francesco, you're working with a real artist. His artistic vision and artistry far exceeded our already high expectations. This is not your typical 'wedding photographer', but a real artist in the truest sense.

Francesco and Egla are extremely kind, warm, fun and easy company and couldn't have made our special day more perfect. I could not recommend Francesco and Egla enough, and I believe that anyone that chooses them to photograph their occasion will be thrilled with their choice.

Given that photographing our wedding would have been a great challenge for a photographer, no formalities, no classical celebration, no wedding dresses, my wife and I decided not to follow any cliches related to the wedding tradition. Francesco was first of all helpful and patient in listening empathic pandering and aligning to our personality, his joyful approach, playful and friendly put us at ease in the negotiation but especially during the wedding, the result has far exceeded our expectations. The photography of Francesco and Egla is a photograph of the soul, tells the inner world of people, in addition to the photographic result in itself that I recognize as pure art in true Italian style, It was a wonderful experience to be photographed, a real artist and as such we recognized and left free to paint his picture, happy us and guests all! We bring you in the heart.

Where to even begin with our extraordinary experience with Francesco and Egla! I stumbled upon Francesco’s work online and instantly loved the raw, moody and candid style of his wedding photography. It was so different from what I had typically seen, and I had no doubt he would capture our wedding weekend beautifully. Fast forward a year, and Francesco and Egla went above and beyond all expectations. They worked tirelessly over our 3-day wedding in Tuscany, and captured the vibe and venue perfectly (I swear we have at least one photo of every guest!). In the weeks leading up to the wedding we provided a list of inspiration photos and they followed them to a tee! Francesco has a special eye for capturing the special candid moments and plays with the contrast of light, but he has such range and also captured beautiful portraits of our families and bridal parties. My maid of honour even used them in the days leading up for a maternity photoshoot in Florence, which turned out beautifully. I can go on and on, but even to this day I speak with Egla on a regular basis. I hope to see them sooner rather than later. They truly made our wedding weekend so special and we will cherish these memories forever!

Francesco and Egla photographed our wedding in Tuscany in August 2023 and we were blown away by the beautiful images they captured. On the day they were incredibly professional, friendly and fun to work with. They went above and beyond to capture a range of photos, from natural to artistic to posed, all of which were equally stunning. Led by Egla, the team took incredible photos throughout the whole day. Seeing Francesco become inspired with his environment and subjects told us we made the right decision. They captured our laughs, our smiles, our tears. Every planned and spontaneous moment, they got it all. Most impressively, following our ceremony they took magazine-worthy photographs of us & the wedding party walking through the very crowded summer streets of Florence. I know that could not have been easy!  

We were delighted when they delivered the full package and it was above and beyond our expectations. As artists ourselves, we really appreciated all the creative liberty they took and achieved. Their hard work encapsulated our wedding as we love to remember it by.

Francesco & Egla - you are masters of your craft!

My wife and I got married at Locanda in Tuscany, Italy the weekend of June 9-11 in 2023. We live in NJ and one of the most important aspects of managing a destination wedding is clear communication with everyone involved. Francesco and Egla were answered prayers in terms of one's hope and expectations of the people responsible for capturing the most important day of your life. The journey began in early 2022 when our videographer, Gilda Fontana, recommended Francesco to us. Their history of collaborating on events in the past made the process of scheduling and coordinating our shared vision of the feelings and themes we wanted to evoke with our engagement shoot and eventual wedding seamless. Egla, in particular, was excellent in ensuring that all parties understood each other and would assist in translating our more complex ideas into Italian in order to prevent any missed messages or misinterpretation. From beginning to end, they ensured that the process of filming and photographing our engagement session would be fun and easygoing while ensuring that we kept to the schedule so we would not miss out on timing and lighting. My wife and I wanted to tell a story and do something different for our engagement shoot and we accomplished all of that and more with the help of Francesco and Egla. They were so personable and warm throughout that initial process, taking time to get to know who and how we were as a couple, as well as sharing their own world and lives with us that we were able to create a bond and friendship that could help with guiding and telling the next part of our story, the wedding.



Our engagement photos were delivered within a few months and highly exceeded what we initially thought we could accomplish. They also made sure to check in on us often during the lead up to the wedding, often sharing ideas and just making sure we weren’t losing our minds with all of the planning. It helps when the people you are working with are kind hearted, passionate about what they do, and have a genuine care for the people they work with.



In terms of the wedding weekend, we had Francesco and his team photograph our pre wedding day pool party and the wedding itself the following day. I cannot say more about how excellent their team was in capturing all of the important moments during those two events. The pre-wedding pool party was more laid back and the style in which Francesco took the photos perfectly matched that feeling. It seemed like they were everywhere all at once and not a single significant moment was missed. They were never intrusive nor pushy in order to try to “create moments” but instead were very attentive and aware of everything happening and captured them as they occurred. This similar level of attention extended into the wedding day itself. We opted for the 10h shooting package for the wedding day. They were extremely prepared, patient, flexible, professional and detail oriented during the wedding. Francesco and Egla captured every tiny detail of the pre-wedding preparation and were efficient in ensuring that there would be enough time to capture the bridal party and our families prior to the wedding. None of the photos that they took were too posed nor cookie-cutter in nature, they allowed us to be ourselves and took full advantage of the breathtaking backdrop the Val d’Orcia region had to offer. One of the reasons we chose Francesco as our photographer was that he truly views his photographs as pieces of art, and as an artist, he is very diligent in melding art and life in a way that can express 1000 emotions and stories and encapsulate them into a single frame. We were very happy with how efficiently they were able to work on and deliver our photos. We received our initial sneak peek of our wedding photos within a month of our wedding and received the full, completely edited set of more than *1700* photos by January.



We cannot thank Francesco and Egla enough for being one of the easiest parts of our entire destination wedding experience. We felt as if we had friends in Italy who “had our back”. This care was evident during the wedding and reception itself as they were very mindful of not taking us away from our guests for too long in order to have our pictures as newlyweds taken. The level of attention and detail they put into our wedding gallery was so great that we often find new things to admire each time we look through the photos. Not a single guest was missed, not a single moment (remembered and not remembered) was excluded, and we are so glad that we have their photos to transport us back to that beautiful Tuscan summer night in June at our convenience. I cannot recommend this beautiful team enough to those considering a destination wedding in Italy. They will be able to capture the magic of your day and have it last for eternity.
