Like a rough diamond whose brilliance increases with time, Palazzo Confalone was built at an uncertain date, likely between the late 13th and early 14th centuries, marking the beginning of a history of lustre and wonder. It was the residence of a noble family originally from Scala. Aniello, known as Il Saggese, was the first member of the Confalone family to move to Ravello, likely in 1384. Thus began a story destined to go down in history and enrich the lives and souls of many illustrious visitors, who left their mark there. Of great architectural importance is its atrium, framed by majestic arcades and arches supported by marble columns, a sumptuous staircase leading to the main floor, a frescoed ceiling in excellent condition, and a garden with a panoramic view of the Amalfi Coast, bordered by octagonal columns. The aristocratic residence has become a hotel, a hotbed of art and thought, preserving the characteristics of a residence of the past.
