My Dream Wedding came true!!
If you're looking for the perfect venue for your wedding, look no further than Villa Merlo Nero in Tuscany! I booked this enchanting villa sight unseen for my wedding in September, and I can honestly say that "magical" is an understatement.
From the moment we arrived, I was blown away by the breathtaking beauty of the villa. The glow from the hanging lights intertwined with the lush green garden created a truly dreamy atmosphere. It was like stepping into a fairytale!
The accommodations were equally impressive. The rooms, featuring stunning canopy beds and spacious wardrobes, provided the perfect sanctuary for our stay. I’ve never slept so comfortably!
I want to give a special shoutout to Ginevra and Guiditta, who were absolute lifesavers throughout the planning process. I didn’t hire a wedding planner, but their support and expertise were invaluable. They guided me every step of the way, connecting me with the best vendors and ensuring everything went smoothly. I couldn’t have done it without them!
One of the highlights was the private chef they recommended, Patrizia, who was incredibly sweet and taught our group of 20 how to make pasta one night. It was such a fun and memorable experience that brought everyone together!
The villa's historic charm, cleanliness, and proximity to Florence made it an ideal location for our celebration. It’s only a fifteen-minute car ride to the center of Florence and within walking distance to charming cafes and restaurants, making it easy for our guests to explore the area.
And P.S. the shower view from the bridal suite was my absolute favorite! With the big windows open, the breeze flowing in, and a stunning view of the garden while enjoying a glass of vino— I could have stayed in there the whole time!!
I find myself feeling a little sad to go. This place has truly captured my heart. Villa Merlo Nero was a dream come true, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I’ll definitely be back for our anniversary in the future!

We had our son's wedding at Villa Merlo Nero on April 29th 2024. Giuditta was our host and was very gracious to us. We came to see the villa 8 months ago and it was beautiful. When we arrived in April it was amazing as all of the flowers had now bloomed. The wedding was exceptional with 73 people who attended and the bridal party of 23 people had great accommodations at the Villa. Patricia the daily chef was superb to say the least! This is an excellent choice for a wedding or event. Hats off to Villa Merlo Nero and Giudita!

Everything was executed with professionalism for my nephew's wedding. The antique furnishings created a very unique setting for the event. Staff was super friendly to me and other guests.
P.S. The procedures are much like AirBNB. Don't arrive before the person responsible for securing the Villa. Also, if coming with a large group 4 or more rent a vehicle to go to city center. About a 2 mile walk. Their shuttles needs to be prearranged. Taxis may or may not arrive and Uber maybe the same.

Villa Merlo Nero is like something out of a movie. When you arrive in Florence, you cannot believe this beautiful property is less than 10 minutes from the main city. Tucked behind olive trees and gorgeous scenery, the Villa stands still in time. My husband and I were married on the property and I would do it again a thousand times. Every single room is stunning and just has air about it; classic but also welcoming. The hosts, Ginevra and Giuditta, are beyond accommodating, hard working, and genuinely wonderful people. I feel so honored to have been here and hope to come back soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Merlo Nero with our closest family and friends for our wedding! Everything about the villa, its staff and the recommended vendors were truly a 5 star experience. Giuditta helped coordinate all of our vendors and made planning a wedding at a venue I had never visited truly seamless. I highly recommend Leonardo and Vakay transfers for any transport from the airport or daily excursions. Uber and taxis were not always readily available. He was able to make transfer to and from the airport and arrange for day trips and private tours in Sienna, San Gimignano, and Cinque Terre stress free with pickup and drop off at the Villa. Patrizia, our chef was so lovely. She was like the Italian grandmother or “Nona” we never had! I would highly recommend this property for anyone traveling to Florence with a large group. The pictures truly do not do this property justice. The entire experience far exceeded our expectations of a destination wedding in Italy. Also, as a lover of the arts, I truly loved the private collection in this home. The art, period piece antiques, and frescoes are absolutely exquisite. We will definitely come back!
