When it was my time to plan MY own wedding, I was so excited to decide who to have photograph our wedding. Being in the industry myself meant I know and have such a wide range of talent to choose from; but ultimately it was a no brainer. I’ve adored Johns work since before I became a photographer, felt starstruck when I met him for the first time and then excited to become friends. When I sent in my contact form for our wedding, Johns excitement and humble honour was evident in his reply. Lucky for John, and us, he got to spend FOUR days with us, for our engagement session, winter ceremony and summer reception and our ring ceremony. He’s always a pleasure to work with; funny, relaxing, calming and up for some fun and a good time! You, and your guests will absolutely love him! My husband and I are both so happy with everything John did for us; and are in absolute love with our timeless, classic and gorgeous images. He went along with all my “extra-ness” from our engagement session, our two wedding dates and then a ring ceremony. And we couldn’t be happier.
What can I say other than you are ‘outstanding’ having captured moments that we will look back on and treasure forever, is SO incredibly special. You were such a big part of our day, and our families/guests love you too! Not only were you a pleasure to have around with us on our wedding day, but you also went OVER and BEYOND capturing our engagement photos.
You literally put everything you had into making sure we had all the photographs we could have hoped for from our special day. From dawn until the end of the night, you and Dustin were up running around getting photos from all angles. We had such a fun time whenever we met you including our first meeting, our pre-wedding shoot and most importantly on the wedding day.
I could not be happier with the end result, and we would happily recommend John Lyons Photography to anyone.

We had the pleasure of having John photograph our wedding in June and we could not have made a better choice. The photos of our wedding day are everything we hoped for and so much more! John truly hit it out of the park. From the first look, wedding party pictures, sparkler pictures, and sunset pictures, john captured all the moments and has the power to make you feel so comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.
It was a true joy having John join us on our special day and capture all the memories we will be able to look back on forever.
I will forever cherish the sunset pictures we did after dinner. A moment to step away from the party, just the 2 of us, 2 bottles of champagne and a bunch a laughs.

By far the best decision we made for our wedding was hiring John to be our photographer. John is so knowledgeable and passionate about his work, and made us feel so at ease throughout the entire process. He is so laid back and such a fun person, it felt like he was a part of our wedding party the whole day. I can’t thank John enough for the incredible photos he took of our special day, we will cherish them forever. Thank you John!!!
John was an absolute gem from the moment we met. John's talent behind the lens is truly remarkable - he has a way of capturing every moment with such authenticity and beauty. From the initial consultation to the engagement session to the final wedding photo delivery, his professionalism and dedication to his craft were evident. John was professional and my wife and I felt very comfortable with him. It didn't feel forced, like the majority of our photo experiences prior. John specializes in capturing real moments and picking great locations for those moments.
It was a relaxed vibe and he did an excellent job, 10/10 recommend for your engagement shoots, wedding pictures and any other occasion you want to remember!

If I could give John 6 stars I would. Your wedding day is filled with all kinds of emotions and one of them is nerves. John has this power to make you feel completely comfortable in such a hectic setting. My husband and I really enjoyed working with John from start to finish. We tend to be a little awkward in front of the camera together but with John behind the lens you would never know. Our photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY! He really has that timeless and romantic eye for capturing the best photos. Thank you John for being you - you really made this experience exciting and memorable.
