What an absolutely amazing photographer to capture our big day!
Very professional and polite but most of all took the time out to learn everyone's names, mingle, socialized be part of the celebrations.
He handled complex situations with such grace. And takes the cake on patience. There I'd absolutely no one who could have captured our love more than John.
John worked through blood (from mosquitoes) ,sweat (from being the hottest day ever) and through all of our tears to get the best shots.

He truly was the mvp of that day!

Deciding on a wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make when planning your wedding.  For us, choosing John as our photographer was the easiest decision we had to make during wedding planning.  He is incredibly talented and so much fun to work with.  He captured the best moments of our day that we will always cherish.  I would highly recommended John to anyone!

John Lyons Photography is the epitome of wedding perfection! Your special day will simply not be complete without his astute eye for detail behind the lens and charisma in front of it! If you are looking for a photographer who will anticipate your needs before you even realize you had them in the first place, then John and his wife, Larisa, are your dream team! Their experience and professionalism shine as they carefully assist  you in planning your timeline and manoeuvring through your busy day seamlessly, taking care and treating you, your family and friends with utmost respect, but most noticeably kindness; genuine kindness that only comes from someone who truly LOVES their job! From makeup and hair, to those private and pivotal moments getting ready all leading up to the big event and party to follow, John is there capturing each treasured moment! He never stopped working - his sense of perfectionism is evident in his work!!! It was such a relief knowing that I had someone who knew exactly the photos I was hoping to have at the end of the day, and would go to any length to achieve them! Not that this was a surprise, as he builds such trust with his clients, you cannot help but feel at ease!   And, very importantly, not once did we ever feel like our intimate moments (first dance, walking down the aisle, first kiss etc) were ever invaded - somehow, someway both John and Larisa were able to capture amazing candid photos of ALL of our most important moments without us even realizing! When we looked at our wedding gallery, we were astounded at all the incredible photos we had no idea were being taken and all of the natural and spontaneous moments of us and our guests that were magically snapped! We are so grateful and feel so lucky to have our day (really our wedding week in Mexico) perfectly encapsulated because of John's incredible talents!!! When you take the time to read over his website, you'll notice a common theme: love, elegance and timelessness. Not only do these represent the photos you will receive, but they also represent the quality and type of person you are choosing to have with you on one of the most important days of your life. There are few who carry such classic and timeless qualities of respect, kindness, charisma and generosity matched with skill, flair, experience and passion which why there is no one else like John Lyons: making him and his work priceless!!! Where do I even begin?
My husband and I both wanted John as our photographer and we made sure we had him booked! We were so happy with our engagement photo shoot and even more with our wedding pictures. Unfortunately, we had to have a COVID wedding, where many of our family and friends were unable to be there with us on our special day. Instead, we had a very small and intimate ceremony with a first dance in our driveway. I can actually say that our day was so intimate, as it really felt like it was just me and my husband. Although, we had some very close family - that made the day even more special.

If I could give John 6 stars I would. Your wedding day is filled with all kinds of emotions and one of them is nerves. John has this power to make you feel completely comfortable in such a hectic setting. My husband and I really enjoyed working with John from start to finish. We tend to be a little awkward in front of the camera together but with John behind the lens you would never know. Our photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY! He really has that timeless and romantic eye for capturing the best photos. Thank you John for being you - you really made this experience exciting and memorable.

What can I say other than you are ‘outstanding’ having captured moments that we will look back on and treasure forever, is SO incredibly special. You were such a big part of our day, and our families/guests love you too! Not only were you a pleasure to have around with us on our wedding day, but you also went OVER and BEYOND capturing our engagement photos.
You literally put everything you had into making sure we had all the photographs we could have hoped for from our special day. From dawn until the end of the night, you and Dustin were up running around getting photos from all angles. We had such a fun time whenever we met you including our first meeting, our pre-wedding shoot and most importantly on the wedding day.
I could not be happier with the end result, and we would happily recommend John Lyons Photography to anyone.
