10 years I’m Sara Lam, the founder of August In Bloom, a Toronto-based wedding planning and design studio. I’ve spent close to a decade planning weddings with a focus on thoughtful guest experience, strong logistics, and design that feels editorial, modern, and intentional. I got started because I loved the mix of creative direction and operations. Weddings are one of the only event types where you’re building something deeply personal and executing it at a high production level. The first wedding I planned taught me the importance of systems and calm leadership: timelines, vendor communication, and clear decision-making are what allow the day to feel effortless and joyful for the couple (and everyone around them). What continues to inspire me is creating events that feel like a true reflection of the couple - elevated, meaningful, and seamless from start to finish.
