That’s me and on vacation… camera was in the hands of my son…. a rare occasion for me to be on the other side of the lens. I’m usually the one studying the faces, reading the room and anticipating the moments. Oh well… The days of film were the days when a photographer had a greater awareness of time, place, and subject. Capturing a moment demanded much more than simply holding down the shutter release button. It required attentiveness, precision, timing, and, of course, a little magic. Being in the moment and staying true to it was an essential part of photography, and it remains so for me today. I still adhere to the "in-camera" approach. This means that I strive to create as I capture, with minimal post-production. If the image lacks power or doesn't hold meaning for my client, I don't attempt to rescue it in photoshop. Instead, I aim to create authentic images with substance and deep emotion, images that reflect truth and beauty. This is not just my goal; it is my passion.
