Melani is the best in the business because she works hard at it.  She reads up and keeps current on new technologies so she can offer services using the best cameras, lenses and other photographic equipment, including albums and print paper; no detail is too small for her to not obtain and use the best.  Her many years of experience guided us to the best venue, makeup artist, wedding planner, florist, bridal store and more.  On the day of the shoot, in addition to the candid shots, I strongly suggest allowing her to set up locations and posing. She knows what she is doing and, as we found out, her guidance resulted in the most fabulous photos ever.  Melani sincerely cares about all the little and large details that will add up to the perfect wedding.  She will listen to you and offer her wisdom, direction and advice which will result in extraordinary photographs.   I believe that her Masters in Art History and her background in dance are why she is so accomplished at lighting and so understanding of movement.  Melani's innate desire to achieve excellence in all she does is so very evident in her photographs, especially in her wedding albums.  She appears to have been everywhere and caught so many cherished moments we never would have been able to enjoy without her all-seeing eye!  I treasure Melani's photographs and now so can our family, for generations to come.

Melani is the absolute best. She captures the most beautiful moments, and brings out the best in every person she photographs. Everyone at my wedding commented on how the photographer was the hardest working person there…she was running around trying not to miss a moment. She also included engagement photos in my package, which she went completely over and above the normal call of duty! We ended up taking pictures starting in the afternoon, during sunset and into the evening – we changed locations, clothing and the result was perfection. I absolutely cherish my photos. I love looking through them and reliving the night. She is so easy to work and extremely professional. Melani makes you feel like you are her only client, even though she is booked every weekend. We will definitely be keeping Melani in our life over the years as our family grows

Full disclosure - Melani is a kinswoman of mine who lives in CT. I always knew that if I got married I desperately wanted her to photograph the wedding. Simply put - Melani sees through to the soul and captures it. Her style is beautiful and evocative, timeless yet contemporary. She does what she calls 'creatives' with the couple, where you go somewhere meaningful to the couple an she captures just the two of you there. She is also uncanny at capturing that moment with your grandmother in law at the ceremony or the wonderful body language between you and your father in law as you dance. My mother is notorious for not photographing well - Melani took the best shot I've ever seen of her. As others have said, she has the most incredible energy and a buoyant personality - which makes everything a breeze, especially getting the formal shots and groupings a breeze.

When I became engaged I knew exactly who I wanted to capture the day! Melani had photographed a friend’s wedding I was blown away by her style, esthetic and warm nature. Leading up to the wedding, she always touching base with me, ensuring that all the details were in place so we would get exactly what we wanted the day of the wedding. We went back and forth about a day of timeline until it ended up being perfect. The day of the wedding, Melani and her team did not stop for a second, capturing everything with beauty! She was extremely concerned with making sure we got every shot we wanted and even would ask periodically if there was anything in particular we wanted that we hadn't shot yet. Her accolades and accomplishments speak for themselves, but Melani is simply the best! My husband and I have never considered ourselves especially photogenic and were very nervous to meet Melani and have our first experience with her - our engagement photos. We were on the fence before the shoot but now highly recommend doing an engagement session. Although an additional fee, they turned out so beautifully and really put our minds at ease for our wedding photos after our "practice round"! The day after our wedding, we received at least ten 'sneak peak' photos, each of which are incredibly gorgeous on their own, with the balance of photos coming 4-6 weeks after the event. We can't wait to see the rest and have already received so many compliments on the photos as well as Melani's & her helpers' interactions with guests at the wedding. Needless to say, we are so thankful we made the best decision in hiring Melani. Not only does she clearly have an artistic gift, she is a beautiful and uplifting person to be around too.

She was referred to us by a friend and as soon as we met her and saw her talent, we didn't need to look any further. Fr om the intimate details of her shots, to her incredible talent for capturing the most fabulous moments throughout the day blew us away. Her flawless attention to detail was showcased throughout our entire wedding portfolio of pictures. We thought we were looking at pictures out of a bridal magazine but they were from our wedding. She scouted areas before-hand for pictures and we decided on one museum and one outdoor barn shot on our way to the reception around 5:30 PM wh ere the lighting was just gorgeous! She is so sweet and professional and her talent is incredible! Our families and friends were amazed by her level of expertise throughout the whole day and night. We had a very large bridal party of 34 and that group shot she captured of all of us, is absolutely breathtaking!!
